We first got into cycling when we returned from London in 2001. After a few years over indulging it was time to get back into the outdoors and a passion for cycling quickly developed. That passion is now a family shared one, with abilities across the spectrum from weekend warrior to regular age group racing throughout the country.

Silversky was born from a love of riding and the frustration of cycle kit that didn’t measure up. We set out to create cycling gear built for New Zealand’s unique conditions bright, colourful designs for visibility, and jackets warm enough for the coldest winter training rides. Our apparel delivers performance, comfort, and style for MTB, road, and gravel riders alike.

We work on a simple philosophy:

• Great cycle gear that is fit for purpose
• Fairly priced
• Tested, refined, raced
• Subtle manufacturer and Silversky branding (you're not an advertisement)
• No margin layering due to wholesale margins, agent margins, or shop margins

Our NZ design team work closely with our suppliers to produce eye catching and unique designs. We utilise their fabric technology, superior manufacturing, and colourfast printing techniques which allows us to offer a quality second to none. We use NZ wool in our base layers and test our gear in all conditions well before we make it available for sale. We've had a number of product failures that you'll never see...but the lessons learnt are embedded in our successes listed here. Beware, like all great products there are imitations out there, don't let them make a fool of you.

• Ross Our lead Ambassador and the face of Silversky. You’ll see him modelling our gear across the site, but more importantly, he’s out on the trails and roads testing it in real conditions. • Gin The friendly voice behind Silversky. She’s the one answering your queries and ensuring riders get the right kit for every adventure. When she’s not helping customers, she loves being outdoors whether trail running, walking, skiing, or mountain biking. And yes, she’s usually wearing our kit… designed to be versatile and perfect for all kinds of outdoor pursuits.
